Developed exclusively for the newer Intel powered Macs, these updates are compatible with Apple’s latest operating system, Mavericks 10.9. Haven’t upgraded to Mountain Lion, no problem. Whatever version of OS X you are using, these updates will be faster and more compatible with your Intel powered Mac. The new speed has allowed us to add extra powerful, money making benefits. And, in keeping with our history, everything you’ve always been able to do is still in our latest allowing you to discover the new benefits at your own pace.

Data and List conversion to new formats required by the Intel processor are automatic. This means the data you have been collecting for years is transferable to the updated applications. Simply open each List and the program will do the rest.

Most of you are familiar with two finger scrolling Apple has used so beautifuly to let you to scroll through photo albums. Now imagine scrolling through your charts with that same technique on your mouse or trackpad. Of course this also works on windows that already have a scroll bar like the List display or Quote Monitor. Whether you prefer the mouse, the keyboard or the trackpad, our updated interface makes analyzing the markets a snap.

New window controls make your mouse even more useful. We’ve added new controls at the bottom of the Quote Monitor or List Display making it a snap to add new symbols, remove or modify old ones or simply find one within your List. The tasks you do often are now just a click away.

New sheets and dialogs make everything from adding an option chain or a futures series to single symbols a snap.

It wouldn’t be an upgrade unless we added more to our powerful toolbox. New analysis techniques and more you can do with your old favorites. The two indicators most widely requested as additions to Analyst are StochRSI and Average True Range and both are part of the update.

StochRSI
StochRSI applies the Stochastics formula to RSI values, instead of price values. In their 1994 book, The New Technical Trader, Chande and Kroll explain that RSI can oscillate between 80 and 20 for extended periods without reaching extreme levels. Traders looking to enter a stock based on an overbought or oversold reading in RSI might find themselves continuously on the sidelines. Chande and Kroll developed StochRSI to increase sensitivity and generate more overbought/oversold signals.

Average True Range
A measure of volatility introduced by Welles Wilder in his book: New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems. The Average True Range (ATR) is a moving average of the True Range.True Range is used in several indictors. It is defined as the true high - the true low, where the true high is the maximum of today's high and the previous close and the true low is the minimum of today's low and the previous day's close.
Wilder found that high ATR values often occur at market bottoms following a "panic" sell-off. Low ATR values are often found during extended sideways periods, such as those found at tops and after consolidation periods. The Average True Range can be interpreted using the same techniques that are used with the other volatility indicators
